We are a business consulting and corporate finance services provider for small and medium enterprises. At Gradient we perform comprehensive financial and operational analysis of enterprises, and work with clients to better understand the business and the business environment by carrying out sector research, competitor analysis and financial modelling.
Our products range from developing business plans, project reports, and loan proposals to conducting business research, company valuations, feasibility studies and competitor surveys. Combining our experience and comprehensive capabilities across many industries and business functions, we support clients, to achieve high performance in today’s complex and challenging business surroundings.
Incorporated in 2008, we have worked with individual investors and small and medium enterprises in the manufacturing (garment, plastics, footwear etc.), web design and plantation sectors.
Roshaan Ranasinghe
Founder
Roshaan Ranasinghe is the founder of Gradient, with over ten years of experience in investment research and financial advisory services including business valuations, company amalgamations, company restructuring, formulating business plans and information memorandums as well as performing industry analysis.
Roshaan started his career at PwC, UK as a chartered accountant in the audit and business advisory services division. He then worked with British Telecom, UK as a business sales administrator prior to returning to Sri Lanka in late 2003. After working in treasury operations at National Development Bank, a leading local bank, he entered the world of investment research upon joining Amba Research in 2005. Here he eventually became Delivery Manager/Vice President, where he was responsible for managing 15 offshore associates servicing the onshore clients of a globally recognised investment bank. He co-founded Gradient in 2008 to provide much-needed business and corporate finance services to the local market. He is also the founder of Tribefunds, a technology platform that connects start-ups’ and SMEs’ investment requirements with investors.
He is a graduate in Finance from the University of Aston, UK, a CFA Charterholder and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
